DARK HEART of skyrim. We arnt going back to TES5. … If the ESO Skyrim maps need more space above Windhelm, the maps will show more space above Windhelm. The emphasize this point, WIndhelm was not a seaport on the maps until TES 5 came along and made it one.
The heart of Skyrim is Whiterun, so “dark heart” made me think of “dark” as in cruel or “evil.” Whiterun could potentially tie into the dragon theme because the dragon Numinex was imprisoned there. That happened in the previous era, but I wonder if they could still work it in somehow?

The trailer then cut to black, promising players would get to “explore the dark heart of Skyrim”
And also pay close attention to the very end of the video, as it becomes clear from the trailer that we’ll be heading off to Skyrim in 2020. As we’ve previously noted, the studio will be announcing its year-long arc plan on January 16th from its Vegas event, but as the reveal makes clear, the arc itself is called the Dark Heart of Skyrim.
